Welcome to ThinkQuest AI. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ThinkQuest AI platform at www.thinkquestai.com (the "Service"), operated by ThinkQuest AI ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Service Description

ThinkQuest AI is an educational platform that teaches children ages 6–14 critical thinking skills through interactive games, digital workbooks, journals, and AI-powered Socratic coaching. The Service includes:

  • Interactive educational games (Logic Quest, Truth Detective, Code Breaker, Fallacy Fighter, Cipher Dash, Evidence Lab)
  • Digital and printable workbooks, coloring books, maze books, word search books, journals, and color-by-number packs
  • AI-powered ThinkBot coaching assistant
  • Parent dashboard with progress tracking
  • Skill assessments and achievement system

2. User Accounts

2.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction) to create a parent/guardian account. Child profiles are created and managed by the parent/guardian account holder.

2.2 Account Responsibility

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
  • You must provide accurate and complete registration information
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

2.3 Child Accounts

By creating a child profile, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the child and consent to the collection and use of the child's information as described in our Privacy Policy and COPPA Compliance page.

3. Subscription Terms

3.1 Free Tier

We offer a free tier with limited access to games and features. No payment information is required for the free tier.

3.2 Paid Subscriptions

  • Family Plan ($9.99/month) — Full access to all games, workbooks, and ThinkBot coaching for up to 3 children
  • Family Plus ($14.99/month) — Everything in Family, plus unlimited children, priority support, and early access to new content

3.3 Billing

  • Subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe
  • You authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis
  • Prices are in USD and may vary by region
  • We will notify you of any price changes at least 30 days in advance

3.4 Cancellation

  • You may cancel your subscription at any time from your dashboard
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period
  • You retain access to paid features until the end of your paid period
  • We do not offer prorated refunds for partial billing periods

3.5 Digital Products

One-time purchases of digital products (workbooks, coloring books, etc.) are non-refundable once downloaded. If you experience technical issues with a digital product, contact us for assistance.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
  • Use automated tools (bots, scrapers) to access the Service
  • Share your account credentials with third parties
  • Upload harmful, offensive, or inappropriate content
  • Attempt to manipulate game scores or achievements
  • Use the AI coaching feature to generate inappropriate content

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Content

All content on ThinkQuest AI — including games, workbooks, exercises, illustrations, text, software, and the ThinkQuest AI brand — is owned by us or our licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

5.2 Your Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial educational purposes. Digital products you purchase may be printed for personal use but may not be redistributed or resold.

5.3 User Content

Any content your child creates within the Service (such as workbook responses) remains yours. We may use anonymized, aggregated data to improve our educational content.

6. AI-Powered Features

Our ThinkBot coaching assistant uses artificial intelligence (powered by Anthropic's Claude) to provide Socratic questioning and educational guidance. Important notes:

  • ThinkBot is designed to ask questions, not provide direct answers
  • AI responses are age-appropriate and filtered for safety
  • ThinkBot is not a substitute for professional educational or therapeutic services
  • AI responses may occasionally be inaccurate; we encourage critical evaluation

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied
  • We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ThinkQuest AI, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

9. Termination

  • We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms
  • You may delete your account at any time by contacting us
  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately
  • Sections relating to intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice on the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
